  • "The Benefits Are Dramatic"

"I am so happy and thankful that I started practicing yoga at Hot Yoga of Mill Creek. The benefits are dramatic. I lost ten pounds within the first four weeks. My muscle definition improved markedly. I sleep less but feel more rested when I wake up and I usually wake up without the aid of an alarm clock. My apetite for healthy foods like fresh fruits and vegetables has increased. But by far the greatest benefit is my sense of wellbeing. It's almost shocking to feel so good. So, thanks for running a great studio. I'm very happy to be practicing at Hot Yoga of Mill Creek."

  • 15 Pounds In 30 Days

"I wanted to share how my first 30 days doing Hot Yoga has changed me.  Ok, so I have been doing Hot Yoga for 30 days.  I have been trying to get myself healthy and slimmed down. In addition to Hot Yoga, I take Hula class once a week and have started going to the gym on a regular basis. I have been drinking water which I HATED before I started coming to Hot Yoga, that in itself is a big step!!!I started out at 220 pounds and not feeling all that great about myself.  I was unsure about how I was going to make my body get into yoga positions and on top of that, to do it in a blazing hot room.

I weighed myself before and after my first class, I lost 4 pounds!!!! This may have mostly been water, but it is a difference on the scale and I will take it where I can get it!!  This made me want to go again, and the more I go, the more I want to come back.  I have tried to go as close to everyday as I could in the first 30 days.

All the instructors have been wonderful in reminding us to remember to only breathe through your nose to stay cool , listen to your body, lay down if you have to and that EVERY class is different and to do YOUR best for the class you are in at the moment.  I can finally get into standing bow pose and not fall out quite as fast as when I began.  Other positions are becoming easier as well.

Because of this I am down to 205!!! That is 15 pounds so far!!  I made my first goal to get below 200 pounds, I am almost there, as I reach my goals I plan to adjust as needed to get to my desired weight.  What my desired weight is still not clear, I want to be healthy and if that turns out to be 175 or 150 then that will be decided with my doctors input.

I want to thank Hot Yoga of Mill Creek for helping me on my road to bettering myself, I plan to continue on and see where this journey takes me."

  • In My Old Jeans

"I am so thankful to all the instructors, more than a month ago i was so depressed cause my pants, my clothes wouldn't fit anymore.  I have paid hundreds of dollars for fitness trainers, but it didn't work.  A friend of mine invited me to attend a class and since then I have been attending classes almost everyday.  I can't believe it after a month I am wearing my old size 25 jeans."

  • Tendinitis And Frozen Shoulder

" I would like to share with you how much Hot Yoga has helped me!  At the age of 53, working a desk job in front of a computer 10 - 15 hours a day, 5 days a week, I found myself in the worst physical shape ever, and suffering severe tendinitis in my right arm.  I sought chiropractic care with massage therapy for my tendinitis, which was very helpful...if I kept it up at least once per week.  Once I slowed down treatments to every 2 - 3 weeks, I went right back to where I was at the beginning, and developed frozen shoulder as well!  At the suggestion of my massage therapist to try Hot Yoga as a long term solution to loosen, stretch and strengthen my muscles, I found your studio and decided to give it a try.

I began Hot Yoga August 25th and have attended twice weekly since.  The class is definitely challenging, and I wondered if it would really help, but I stuck with it.  When I began, I could barely put put my palms together and hold them just above my forehead (as opposed to arms straight overhead, touching my ears with palms together as ultimately they should be)....and in "Dead Man's Pose" my right arm would not lay palm up, only palm down - that was much to painful to try.  On just my fifth class, I was able to lay in "Dead Man's Pose" with my right palm facing up!  That was huge for me!  And now, after just 8 classes, my palms are together for standing poses and I can hold them about 4-5 inches above my head!  My arms may not be straight yet, but I am getting there and so excited about the progress!

Overall, I feel a little stronger each week.  I find doing simple tasks less difficult and my stamina is increasing.  I'm also more relaxed at work - I have a very stressful job, and between the benefits from Hot Yoga and the benefits of taking time to do something good for me (it truly is a treat!), I find myself more balanced emotionally.  Your teaching and encouragement have been a blessing to me!  Thank you for the opportunity to help myself to better health!"

  •      How Hot Yoga of Mill Creek Helped A Student With Her Eczema

"I have had eczema for the last 24 years, my entire life.  I go to an allergist and a dermatologist every few months and as soon as they decide what will work, it stops working.  I take Bee Pollen, turmeric, steroids, cortisones and light therapy.  I have tried everything and last winter I had a flare up that was so bad I spent every weekend in the doctor’s office and racked up about $600 in medical bills.  They put me on a huge dose of prednisone and I gained almost 20 pounds.  My best friend had been practicing Hot Yoga for about 6 months and had been telling me how great it made her feel so I decided I would try it, maybe it would help me loose some of 20 pounds I gained.  Usually when I exercise my skin gets horrible from the sweat irritating my skin.  If you have eczema you know that doctors recommend you do not sweat because it will cause a flare up, but I decided it would be worth the 1,200 calories you burn during the class.  So after my first class I was sore and amazed that I made it, I did feel great.  But the most amazing thing happened when I woke up the next morning my skin looked amazing it was soft and not red at all.  I find than when I skip a class my skin goes right back to being all red, itchy and dry and when I go my skin looks fantastic.  If you have eczema you know how frustrating it can be to find something that works, this really works and is worth the 90 minutes 1-2 times a week.  I have been going to Hot Yoga of Mill Creek for several months now and as long as I make it to class I haven’t had to be on steroids or see an allergist."
